LE SSERAFIM, the brand new girl group under HYBE's Source Music, has announced the nickname for their fans.
As of August 7th, LE SSERAFIM fans will collectively be known as: FEARNOT. The name, pronounced in Korean as "Pi-oh-na," has a double meaning with the Korean pronunciation also meaning "To Bloom."
Together the two meanings convey LE SSERAFIM's want to "bloom" in the Korean music industry with the love and support of their fans.
The name follows LE SSERAFIM's 'FEARLESS' concept (the name LE SSERAFIM is an anagram of the phrase "IM FEARLESS")
The announcement comes three months after the group's debut in May and barely over a week since Source Music announced the departure of Kim Garam.
LE SSERAFIM originally gained recognition since the group contains two former IZ*ONE members, Chaewon and Japanese idol Sakura.
Furthermore, millions fans waited in anticipation for LE SSERAFIM's debut, curious about what HYBE's first girl group since Gfriend would look and sound like.
After LE SSERAFIM released their debut EP, "FEARLESS," the group quickly became one of the most-talked-about rookies of the year, with the title track's music video gaining millions of views overnight.
Most recently, the members of LE SSERAFIM joined the other HYBE artists, TXT, Seventeen, fromis_9, NU'EST, Lee Hyun, and ENHYPEN, on a special episode of variety program, The Game Caterers.
