According to hellotohallyu, Age Lines means “When people share the same birth year.”
“This can build relationships between idols and even entire communities of people born in the same year.”
In other words, an “age line” is a group of idols that are the same age.
According to kpop dictionary, age lines “refers to the relationships between many idols that share birth years.”
“Often there is an unofficial ‘leader’ who begins the process of collecting idols to join their group and maintains friendships with all the members equally.”
Some examples of “age lines” in K-Pop include the 97 line or 00 line.
The 97 line includes famous friend-group NCT's Jaehyun, ASTRO's Cha Eunwoo, BTS's Jungkook, GOT7's Yugyeom, and many others.
The 00 line includes Stray Kids' Hyunjin and Felix, AB6IX's Lee Daehwi, Golden Child's Choi Bomin, and ASTRO's Yoon Sanha.
