Music Bank Plan to Bring Back Live Audiences
Since the rapid spread of the COVID 19 virus, K-Pop music shows have had to remove live audiences for the safety of the audience members and artists performing.
Nearly two years later, Music Bank has made headlines as the first music show reinstating live audiences. Currently hosted by Sunghoon (ENHYPEN) and Wonyoung (IVE), KBS Music Bank is one of the top music competitions in the Korean music industry.

The most recent Music Bank lineup announcement
- Before COVID, music show audiences were admitted on a first-come-first-served basis, meaning fans could avoid astronomic concert tickets.
- In addition to encouraging a good synergy between fans and artists, the live audience also enhanced music shows by creating energetic fan chants and electric atmospheres that made the programs more enjoyable for viewers at home.

In addition to Music Bank, KST has announced that they will allow live audiences for their other music programs like fan favorites such as Open Concert, Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook, and Immortal Song.
With strict safety measures in place, this transition reflects the gentle introduction of offline concerts for the schedules of groups like BTS, THE BOYZ, TWICE, and ONF, among countless others.
