“Single’s Inferno” Success Signals Great Potential For K-Reality Shows
Now, the first Korean reality show to be listed on the global Netflix chart, the success of “Single’s Inferno” seems to signal the potential for K-Reality programs to follow the success of K-Dramas on Netflix.
In the last few years, Netflix has bent to the weight of the powerful K-Wave. With the platform filled with dramas of every genre, it was only a matter of time before Netflix added Korean reality shows to the streaming service.

“Single’s Inferno” and K-Reality Show
In anticipation of the final two episodes, the popular dating program “Single’s Inferno” has reached the top 10th spot on Netflix’s global TV list (as of Monday, the 2nd of January).
- First released on the 18th of December, this show is a dating reality program that currently holds first place on Netflix’s Korean chart as fans wait for the final two episodes to release on Saturday, the 8th of January.
While “Single’s Inferno” does not include a star-studded cast like other Netflix reality programs, the show quickly gained popularity for its entertaining participants including, beauty YouTuber freeJia, among other hopefuls looking for love.

K-Drama Netflix Global Expansion
In addition to “Single’s Inferno,” K-Sci-Fi Drama “The Silent Sea” has stolen viewers’ attention with its mysterious setting and a captivating plot.
By ranking fifth on the Netflix global chart, “The Silent Sea” has demonstrated its international popularity.
2021 has been a record-breaking year for K-Dramas as shows like “Squid Game” have globalized and further popularized the genre amongst international viewers.
