JYPn NEW 2022 JYPE group? JYPE teases UPCOMING girl group;DETAILS

On the 22nd of October, JYP Entertainment dropped the latest teaser for the company’s upcoming girl group, temporarily named JYPn.

The teaser featured the name SQU4D leading fans to believe this might be the future name for the group, despite there being five trainees currently expected to be in the lineup.
- In July, JYPE announced their intention to debut a new group by holding a 10-day presale for the “Blind Package” limited-edition package. The package will include the group’s debut single among other merch like photocard and poster. All together, this package was pre-ordered over 60k times.

- Expected Debut: February 2022
- Management: JYPE Division 4 (led by Lee Jiyoung)
- Potential members: BAE, Jiwoo, Kyujin, Sullyoon, and Jinni
The latest in a string of “Qualifying” videos, JYPE released a choreography video for Major Lazer’s “Quee Calor,” featuring potential members Jinni, Jiwoo, and Kyujin on the 28th of October.
Other “Qualifying” videos include a cover of “Break My Heart” by potential member BAE and a cover of “Me, Myself & I” by Jiwoo.
This new group will be the first artist to debut under JYPE since ITZY in 2019. Since their debut, ITZY has gained millions of followers and found immense success, thereby carrying on the legacy of successful artists under JYPE.
Other popular groups under JYPE include Stray Kids, TWICE, and Day6.
