SM artists have been making headlines as aespa are scheduled to perform at the massive Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and NCT Jaehyun returns to acting in new starring role.

aespa to perform at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

aespa make history as the first K-pop girl group to perform at the massive Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Their first overseas performance ever, the upcoming stage will be historic both for the group and for the spread of K-pop.

While aespa and the parade have yet to release a setlist, fans expect that the group will be performing their world-famous hits “Black Mamba,” “Next Level,” and “Savage.”

aespa, STEM, and Parade DETAILS

The first K-Pop artist to perform at the event was fellow SM group NCT 127, who attended the 2019 parade. aespa will be performing on Olay’s “Her Future is STEM-sational” float, promoting women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematic industries and fields.

NCT Jaehyun RETURNS to Acting

To the great delight of NCTzens around the globe, SM Entertainment has confirmed the return of NCT 127’s Jaehyun to the screen.

On the 2nd of November, SM Entertainment announced that NCT’s Jaehyun will star in the highly-anticipated upcoming remake of the classic movie “Bungee Jumping of Their Own.”

Bungee Jumping On Their Own

Co-starring Lee Hyun-woo, the upcoming series will be directed by Kim Dae-Seung and produced by Choi Nak-Kwon (the producer of the original release).

The original film, starring Lee Byung Hun, Lee Eunjoo, and Yeo Hyun Soo, was well acclaimed, winning several Baeksang Arts Awards and Blue Dragon Film. Furthermore, Jaehyun will play the role that earned Yeo Hyun Soo his first Baeksang award as the Best New Actor in 2001.

Plot

The plot follows a high school teacher named Seo In-woo (to be played by Lee Hyun-woo) who grieves the disappearance of his beloved first love, In Tae-hee. Seventeen years later, he meets a male student, Im Hyun-bin (to be played by Jaehyun), who strongly resembles his girlfriend in behavior and personality.
