NCT DREAM Release First NCT2021 Track; The Start of K-Pop Winter Releases: Stray Kids, SEVENTEEN, TWICE

With anticipation for the NCT 2021 ensemble album at an all-time high, the members of NCT Dream have released the first track from the upcoming record. Meanwhile, top K-pop groups like TWICE, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids have kicked off the start of December and the holiday season with the first winter releases of 2021.

With the start of the winter season has come the first K-pop winter releases from some of the industry’s biggest names.

(K-Pop Winter Tracks) Seventeen “Ainochikara” Japanese Winter Ballad

K-pop industry super artists SEVENTEEN have started off the winter season with the release of their Japanese ballad track named “Ainochikara,” meaning “Power of Love.”

Throughout the song, the members sing beautiful lyrics describing how the power of love saves the protagonists from the cold winter and allows them to reach spring.

  • The beautiful track uses winter and spring themes to tell a story of hope and love reflected in the music video’s stunning cinematic winter landscapes and colorful spring hills.

The track was released on the 29th of November, and marks the second Japanese release from the group following their summer track “ひとりじゃない.”

(K-Pop Winter Tracks) Stray Kids First Christmas EP “ChristmasEveL”

International-top group Stray Kids have released their first Christmas-themed EP. Titled “ChristmasEveL,” the single album includes four tracks and two title songs.

The first title track, “ChristmasEveL,” is a playful pop track that showcases the members of Stray Kids’ brilliant pop talent, spotlighting the skill of the group’s top-tier rappers and versatile vocalists.

At the same time, the music video uses playful props and locations to support the fun and light feel of the track.

“Winter Falls”

The group’s second title track, “Winter Falls,” flips listeners’ expectations with an emotional acoustic song that tells a heartbreaking breakup story. The song uses winter themes to emphasize the tragedy of ill-fated love.

Visually, the music video uses pure-white snow and dramatic lighting to support the story of the lyrics.

Meanwhile, members of the global super girl group TWICE have also released their first stunning winter song. The Japanese ballad “Doughnut” uses winter sounds like carol-like piano melodies and bells to support beautiful voices of the members and the cinematic lyrics of heartbreak and star-crossed lovers.

Through the music video, the group uses soft visual elements of snow-covered trees and warm cafes to convey the sentimental and dramatic atmosphere of the track.

  • “Doughnut” follows their full-length Korean studio album released in November, Korean summer EP released in June, and full-length Japanese studio album released in July.

As the northern hemisphere enters December, K-Pop groups like Stray Kids, SEVENTEEN, and TWICE have already proved that fans have a lot to look forward to this winter and Christmas season!

NCT DREAM Release First NCT2021 Track

In preparation for the upcoming NCT2021 ensemble record, members of NCT DREAM have released the first track from the new album.

“Dreaming” and NCT DREAM

The catchy track, titled “Dreaming,” spotlights the dynamic talents of the seven members of the unit. From neat rap verses to stunning vocals, the song demonstrates the incredible synergy of this successful subunit.

In 2021, the members NCT DREAM released two records, “Hot Sauce” and “Hello Future,” which have together sold more than 3 million copies, making 2021 the unit’s most successful year since their debut in 2016.

Furthermore, NCT subunits WayV and NCT 127 have also had an incredibly successful year, with the news of NCT 127’s upcoming offline tour announced in November.

Following the incredible success of the last year and NCT’s 2020 ensemble project “Resonance,” the many-membered group has returned in 2021.
