To the great excitement of millions of NCTzens around the globe, NCT 2021 is confirmed by SM Entertainment. The newest ensemble project by the 23-membered group, speculations about new members has already begun as the members prepare for the upcoming comeback.
In other news, Starship Entertainment has announced their next big hit girl group, ‘IVE.’ Including former ‘IZ*ONE’ members Yujin and Wooyoung, this group and their lineup have already built immense anticipation for their December debut.

Announced through SM Entertainment’s official social media accounts, the 23 membered groups NCT are officially preparing for their upcoming December ensemble project.

‘NCT 2021 Universe’

An incredible unique group in K-Pop, NCT releases music primarily within their set sub-units (NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV). Ensemble projects are rare for this group, although they have served as an opportunity to add new members (having transitioned from 6 members in 2016 to 23 members currently).

Their previous full-group comeback, NCT 2021 “Resonance,” added two new members: Sungchan and Shotaro, who joined the group without fixed sub-units.

The ambiguous status of these two members, and clues on the posters, have led fans to think that SM is planning to add new members to this upcoming ensemble project.

NCT is one of the most different groups in K-Pop. From the design to structure of the group to the music itself, NCT is a group that forms its own genre.

Debuting under SM Entertainment with the concept of having infinite members, this super-group has become the home of 23 talented members who specialize in everything from dance to rap and vocals.

Although NCT did not start with 23 members, it has grown as more members join through ensemble projects or new sub-units.

Except for the two members who joined in 2020 (rapper Sungchan and rapper/dancer Shotaro), all of the members of this group have an official NCT sub-unit that they perform in.

Sub-units are like independently functioning groups within the overall group. Each of the sub-units of NCT has a unique style and concept.
Having many members makes this group incredibly versatile and flexible since there is a member skilled in any imaginable genre of music.

In addition to the permanent sub-units, NCT also includes the temporary sub-unit, “NCT U.”

This sub-unit has no set number of members and can be any lineup of members and any style of music.
Some of this sub-unit’s most memorable tracks include “BOSS,” “Coming Home,” and “90s Love,” among many others.

To the great excitement of new fans and Wiz*one (‘IZ*ONE’ fans), Starship Entertainment has announced the debut details of their newest girl group, collectively named “IVE.”

In the last week, Starship has release the IVE promotional teaser titled “HAVE WHAT WE WANT.” In two days the video has already received over 2 million views on YouTube.

Including two former ‘IZ*ONE’ members, Yujin and Wonyoung, the new group has six talented members, with Gaeul, Rai, Liz, and Leeseo.

According to Starship Entertainment, the upcoming group will debut with their first single album named ‘ELEVEN.’ The members of IVE will release the single album on the 1st of December.
