To the excitement of fans and listeners, SM Entertainment is encouraging the members of NCT to release their self-composed solo or unit songs under their newest music archiving project titled “NCT LAB.” Mark Lee has announced that his solo track will be first song released with the new series.

“NCT Lab” will become an extension of the company’s “SM STATION” music project, which SM Entertainment established in 2016.
Through SM STATION, SM artists have released several of the company’s top songs with format giving the artists broader creative expression outside of the constraints of traditional album releases and promotions.

This new “NCT Lab” project will serve as a powerful way for the members of NCT to demonstrate and spotlight their talents as unique and individual artists in ways that may not get displayed in a regular NCT or NCT subunit album.

Along with the news of the new project, SM Entertainment announced the first “NCT Lab” song to be put out. The first solo track to be released by globally-loved rapper-songwriter Mark Lee, the new song is titled “Child.”
The Canadian-Korean musician has demonstrated his incredible musical skill and ability since his debut in 2016 and is currently a member of four groups: NCT U, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, and SUPERM.

Co-written by the talented musician, “Child” is to release globally on the fourth of February at 6 PM (KST) as the first song of this brand new music project.

The news of the upcoming “NCT Lab” follows the recent announcement that the NCT subunit NCT DREAM is in the stages of preparing for their album release this March.
The album will be the unit’s first release since their bestselling selling albums “Hot Sauce” and repackaged record “Hello future” of 2021.
After the incredible success of NCT DREAM last year, fans are already anticipating the new albums and music.
