Attempting better reflect the most-talked-about music, Billboard has collaborated with Twitter to create the brand-new Billboard Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter.

The purpose of this new chart is to provide real-time rankings of the most discussed music on Twitter around the world. Furthermore, Billboard will release weekly versions every Tuesday on the @Billboard, and the @BillboardCharts Twitter handles.
The format of this new chart perfectly suits K-Pop artists and groups who garner a lot of discussion on the Social media site. As a result, it is not surprising that the debut chart, released on the 22nd of October, was dominated by Korean artists like BTS, Enhypen, and Stray Kids.
The Top 10 Tracks and Artists on the Debut Billboard Hot Trending Songs Chart (22 October) are:

By the release of the first Weekly Hot Trending Songs Chart on the 26th of October, the top ten had remained primarily K-Pop artists except for the BTS and Coldplay collaboration and the introduction of British musician Adele’s “Easy On Me” at No.8
Artists that controlled the top ten included BTS, Blackpink’s LISA, ENHYPEN, aespa, NCT 127, and Stray Kids. Other artists in the top 20 include IU, ØMI, ITZY, and TWICE.
This brand new chart gives fans of K-Pop and music a new exciting way to promote their favorite music and for music enthusiasts to see which is the most popular and spoken-about music by fans around the globe.
