Kang Daniel To Return This May After a Busy Year (2022)
After a year since his last comeback, to the excitement and anticipation of millions of fans, former Wanna One member and solo artist/CEO Kang Daniel has announced his return this May.

WANNA ONE
Kang Daniel started his career by winning first place on the top survival competition “Produce 101 Season 2.” After proving his skills in the competition, the talented performer and musician became one of the members of top project group Wanna One. During the group’s run, Wanna One released iconic tracks that defined the transition between the third and fourth generation of K-Pop. Temporary since its debut, Wanna One disbanded at the end of 2018.
KONNECT
In 2019, Kang Daniel founded his entertainment company, “KONNECT ENTERTAINMENT.” The new management agency and record label soon started to sign other artists including rapper Chancellor, former G-FRIEND vocalist Yuju, as well as managing CL’s career in Korea. Since founding KONNECT, Kang Daniel released four solo albums: “Color on Me,” “Cyan,” “Magenta,” and “Yellow.“

Since the release of “Yellow” in April of 2021, Kang Daniel has only furthered his career. In August of 2021, Kang Daniel premiered as the host of the viral K-Hip-hop dance competition “Street Woman Fighter.” Other stars featured on the program include NCT leader Taeyang and iconic K-Pop dancer BoA, among others.

At the end of the year, Kang Daniel debuted as an actor in the Disney+ hit K-Drama “Rookie Cops” alongside Chae Soo-bin. In the drama, Kang Daniel plays the ambitious and loveable Wi Seung-Hyun.

Throughout 2021, Kang Daniel has become one of the most popular and recognizable male solo artists, idols, and celebrities, often topping the Korean Monthly Reputation Chart, which measures an individual’s relevance on social media and among Korean general citizens, especially in relation to their advertisement potential.
Kang Daniel To Return This May
In March, Kang Daniel performed on the GRAMMY’s “Press At Home” online series and released his first tracks in a year. Titled “Hush Hush,” the song is from the soundtrack of “Rookie Cops.” The talented artist followed the song up with a release for Universe Music titled “Ready To Ride.”
Announced at the end of April, Kang Daniel will be releasing a new record this May. Titled ‘The Story” the new record is set to come out on the 24th of May. The new album is a start of a new era for the artists following the completion of Kang Daniel’s “Colors” album series in 2021.

In other Wanna One news, former leader Yoon Jisung released his most recent solo EP last week, the record, “MIRO” featured the talented artist’s brand-new title track “BLOOM”
Furthermore, former member Ha Sung-Woon collaborated with BTS’ Jimin on new OST track “With You” to be featured on the upcoming K-Drama, “Our Blues.”
Finally, AB6IX, a group that includes two former Wanna One members, Park Woo-jin and Lee Dae-hwi, announced their new May album and upcoming Tour.
