With comebacks and releases from some of K-Pop’s biggest names, spring is being ushered in with brilliant new music from artists across the genre including, Red Velvet, NCT, and (G)I-DLE.

Weeekly New Music: Play Game: Awake

Hit-maker girl group Weeekly is coming back this spring with their first single album!

After an incredibly successful year in 2021 with their summer viral hit “After School,” the girls are back with the latest installment of their “Play Game” album series.

Since their debut in 2020, the seven members of Weeekly have released chart-topping tracks that have drawn a loyal listener base of fans, collectively referred to as “Daileee.”

This upcoming single album will include three tracks: “Ven para” (Title Track), “Solar,” and “Where Is My Love?” With a stunning sparkling astronomical concept, the beautiful and talented members stand out in the promotional material released by Weeekly’s agency, IST Entertainment.

Titled “Play Game: Awake,” the upcoming single album will get released by the members of Weeekly on the 7th of March. For fans curious about the sound and concept of the new record, IST Entertainment has uploaded an album highlight medley and music video teaser:

Kim Wooseok New Music: REVE

Multi-talented singer-actor Kim Wooseok has announced his return with the artist’s third release, “3rd Desire [Reve],” and title track titled “Switch.”

Reve means dream or daydream in French. The upcoming record signals the final installment of his “Desire” album series, which the artist started with his solo debut album “1st Desire: [GREED].”

Kim Wooseok debuted as a solo artist in 2020 following the disbanding of top-selling group X1. The talented musician is also a UP10TION member since 2015. Since his solo debut, this talented artist has had two successful comebacks with the popular title tracks “Red Moon” and “Tasty.”

The upcoming record will include six tracks, each personally written and composed by the artist, showcasing his skill as a talented music composer and songwriter.

For fans, collectively called “Nia,” who want to see more of this talented artist, Kim Wooseok also recently starred on the hit K-Drama “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls.”

Alongside top actors Lee Jin-Wook, Kwon Nara, Gong Seung-Yeon, and Lee Joon, Kim Wooseok demonstrated his multifaceted acting skills in this high-budget fantasy historical drama. Bulgasal: Immortal Souls is currently streaming on Netflix.

(G)I-DLE New Music: Ensemble LP Return

Announced last Thursday, CUBE Entertainment girl group (G)I-DLE will return as a five-member act this March.

Over a year since the group’s most recent ensemble comeback season, the members of (G)I-DLE have taken the time to define themselves as solo acts.

  • Throughout 2021, Yuqi and Soyeon released solo music, with the latter promoting her solo album last summer.

Meanwhile, Minnie and Miyeon broke into acting.

Miyeon played several roles in multiple films and web series, including “Adult Trainee” and “Her Bucket List.” In addition, this talented artist also served as the co-MC of M Countdown, a top music chart show running every Thursday, alongside top-actor Nam Yoon-Su.

Minnie starred on the well-received and promoted Netflix sit-com “So Not Worth It,” alongside model Han Hyung-min, American actress Carson Allen, GOT7 member Choi Young-Jae, and Park Se-wan

The upcoming record will contain nine new songs. In addition to the eight B-side tracks, the release will include (G)I-DLE’s new title track, titled “Tomboy.”

  • Fans can look forward to this album coming on the 14th of March.

This new album will be the group’s first release as a five-membered group following Soojin leaving the group last year. After (G)I-DLE’s extended hiatus, fans across the globe have taken to SNS to rejoice that the talented members have announced their return with the new record.

Kang Seungyoon New Music: Born To Love You

YG fans rejoice! YG Entertainment has just announced the upcoming release of Kang Seung-Yoon’s second solo comeback.

Fans were excited to learn that Kang Seung-Yoon’s brand new digital single, “Born To Love You,” is written by the talented Bang Yedam. 

  • The new track will get released on the 14th of March!

The first collaboration between these two YG Entertainment artists, fans cannot wait to see how Bang Yedam’s lyrics and Kang Seung-Yoon’s legendary voice pair together on the new track.

Bang Ye-dam is a nineteen-year-old member of TREASURE and a talented solo singer-songwriter. Bang Ye-dan was the runner-up on the second season of K-Pop Star when he was ten years old. The talented artist debuted as a solo artist in 2020 before joining the twelve-membered group TREASURE

In 2021, Kang Seun-Yoon, a talented member of the YG Entertainment group WINNER, debuted as a solo artist with his first album and comeback. The record, titled “PAGE,” featured some of the top rappers in the Korean Hip-Hop industry, including Wonstein, Simon Dominic, and MINO. Furthermore, the album included the likes of skilled vocalist Yoon Jong Shin.

 Furthermore, on the 21st of November 2021, Kang Seung-Yoon held his first solo concert. Titled “YOON: PASSAGE,” the event included an in-person concert at Olympic Park Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea, and an international live stream for global fans.

Brave Girls New Music: Queendom and a Fresh Comeback

Everyone’s favorite “Summer Queens,” viral girl group Brave Girls, has announced their return this Spring!

After sweeping awards in the year-end ceremony season, this popular four-member K-pop group has announced its upcoming comeback.

Brave Girl’s anticipated comeback will get released on the 14th of March.

  • The new record, titled “THANK YOU” will include the group’s brand new title track as well as four other B-Side Songs.

After an incredibly successful year in 2021, the talented members of Brave Girls topped the charts with their viral hit “Rollin.'” Becoming the summer song of the year, “Rollin'” made an unexpected comeback, four years after its initial release

Furthermore, their follow-up release “Chi Mat Ba Ram” nearly equaled the previous track’s success, cementing Brave Girls as a top girl group.

In addition to new music, the members of Brave Girls will compete in the second season of the anticipated girl group competition show “Queendom.” Other groups competing are, Viviz, WJSN, Loona, Kep1er, and Hyolyn.

Queendom will premiere on the 31st of March!

A best-of album, the new album will, according to The Korean Herald, “be a parting gift for the band’s fans.” About the collection, Pledis Entertainment stated that the record contains the messages that the NU’EST members want to tell the fans that have supported them since their debut in 2012.

A decade ago, the five members of NU’EST debuted with their debut song, “FACE,” an instant hit. Since then, the talented musicians and performers have enjoyed ten years of success, becoming one of the most iconic groups in K-Pop 2/3rd generation history.

Kihyun (MONSTA X) New Music: Voyager

According to Starship Entertainment, the new single titled “Voyager” will get released on the 15th of March.

Having worked as a top vocalist in MONSTA X since 2015, Kihyun is a respected singer in the industry. This talented artist has performed solo tracks for hit dramas like She Was Pretty (2015), Suspicious Partner (2017), What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim (2018), and Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol (2020). 

In the last year, the members of MONSTA X have reached new heights of success with their Korean comeback “Rush Hour” and English title track “One Day,” both of which found mainstream popularity drawing in new fans from around the globe.

Currently, large parts of MONSTA X’s scheduled North American tour have gotten postponed due to the ongoing pandemic-related restrictions. However, fans can still see this talented group performing in eight cities across the continent.

WEi New Music: Love Pt.1: First Love

Rookie group WEi’s brilliant members have finally released the comeback schedule for their upcoming March comeback!

The new release, titled “Love Pt.1: First Love,” will be the fourth EP album from this multi-talented group’s members since their debut in 2020.

Throughout the last two years, this incredible group has released successful tracks like “Twilight” and “Bye Bye Bye,” which have topped charts. Together their music has made this group one of the top rookie male groups in the K-Pop industry.

Following the end of the recent solo promotions of Kim Yo-han, the ensemble of WEi will return to fans with a brand new concept and set of tracks this March!

Kim Yo-han released his first solo record, titled “Illusion,” on the 10th of January. After the release, this talented former-X1 member promoted his catchy title track “Dessert” for several weeks.

The upcoming ensemble album “Love Pt.1: First Love” is open for pre-order now. Meanwhile, the title track and record will get put out on the 16th of March following the release of several sets of promotional photos and music video teasers.

Solar (MAMAMOO) New Music: Yong: Face

Iconic vocalist Solar of the HIP girl group MAMAMOO has just announced her first solo EP to be released next month.

After her solo debut, titled “Spit it Out,” released in 2020, fans have waited impatiently for Solar’s first record release. However, it seems like the wait is finally over!

Announced by RBW Entertainment, Solar will return with her new album named “Yong: Face.” The Yong stands for the third letter from Solar’s birth name of Kim Yong-hee.

With her 2020 first solo track selling over 73k copies in the first week, according to The Korean Herald, the fourth-most for a solo Koran female musician at the time, expectations are high for this talented artist’s return!

The title track, titled “HONEY,” will be released, along with the new record, on the 16th of March at 6 PM KST.

Recently, Solar has also worked on the recent OST for the hit drama series “School 2021,” starring, among other actors, WEi’s Kim Yo-han.

The other members of MAMAMOO have also recently released music projects, with the most recent being the solo albums “WHEE” and “6equence” by Wheein and Moonbyul. Both above albums were incredibly successful in defining those two artists as influential solo artists within the mainstream K-Pop genre.

Red Velvet New Music: The ReVe Festival 2022

Worldwide super girl group Red Velvet has announced their upcoming album, and it has fans around the globe extremely excited!

Titled “The ReVe Festival 2022 – Feel My Rhythm,” the upcoming record will continue the group’s extensive “ReVe” albums series. Red Velvet’s “ReVe” album series includes some of Red Velvet’s most iconic tracks like “Peek-A-Boo” and “Psycho.”

The news of a new comeback comes days after the group confirmed their offline/online concert series, this coming 19th and 20th of March weekend.

The upcoming concert, titled “The ReVe Festival: Prologue,” will be held at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea, and live-streamed around the globe.

CRAVITY New Music: Liberty In Our Cosmos

Starship Entertainment’s top group CRAVITY has announced their new full-length studio album’s release date this coming March.

Although the album was planned to get released at the end of February, the group was forced to postpone the release after all nine members tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, for the safety of everyone involved, CRAVITY announced that the new album, titled “Liberty: In Our Cosmos,” will get released on the 22nd of March.

The new record will be the group’s second LP after the studio album unveiled last year to a brilliant response by fans and K-Pop listeners around the globe.

The “Liberty: In Our Cosmos” album will include eight songs with the new title track “Adrenaline,” which was, in part, written by CRAVITY rappers, Korean-American idol Allen and group leader Serim.

In addition to the new LP, the multi-talented members of CRAVITY also announced their upcoming two-day concert at Olympic Park Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea. In addition to the in-person stage, the second day will be live-streamed for international fans. Tickets are available for the 2nd and 3rd of April.
The events are titled “CRAVITY 1st Concert: Center of Gravity.”

NCT DREAM New Music: Glitch Mode

Perhaps one of the most animated comebacks of the year is NCT DREAM’s upcoming LP release scheduled for this March!

An 11-track collection, the upcoming record follows NCT DREAM’s best-selling full-length album released last year. The album, “Hot Sauce,” sold over 2 million copies. With the repackaged album of last summer, NCT DREAM sold over 3.42 million records in 2021.

After such astronomical sales and success, fans in their millions have taken to social media to express their excitement, concept theories, and curiosity surrounding this new record. Titled “Glitch Mode,” SM Entertainment has announced that fans can expect a comeback on the 28th of March.
