Introduction
Before becoming an actor, Hwang In-youp studied fashion design in the Philippines (Hwang In-youp also attended high school in the Phillippines, where he went by the English name Ryan Leon).
In 2017, Hwang In-youp debuted as a runway model before making his acting debut a year later in the web series “Why.”
- Following his debut, Hwang In-youp participated in several series including, the web series “Freshman,” the historical TV program “The Tale of Nokdu,” and the fantasy show “18 Again.”
In 2020, Hwang In-youp exploded onto the entertainment scene with his memorable role in the romantic-comedy series “True Beauty” (based on the bestselling webtoon), starring alongside actors like Cha Eun-woo, Moon Ga-young, Park Yoo-Na, and Kim Hye-Yoon.

The first, an SBS TV K-Drama titled “Why Her,” will see the actor taking on the role of one of the show’s lead characters alongside famous actress Seo Hyun-jin. The Mystery-Romantic drama will premiere in March of 2022 and will be airing every Friday and Saturday at 22:00.
Furthermore, Netflix has announced Hwang In-youp as one of the stars of their brand new series “The Sound of Magic.” The musical drama will be released on the platform in 2022.
